OUR JOURNEY
A history of innovation, born on the farm.
For more than 60 years Giltrap Ag has been finding new ways to make farmers’ lives easier. We are a family-owned business with Belinda and Craig Mulgrew purchasing the business in 2001. At that time we had a team of 45, this has now grown to over 100 in three locations - Otorohanga, Timaru and Melbourne.

Our mission is clear - engineering performance and understanding the land.
With the acquisition of Clough Agriculture in 2018, our commitment to innovation in agricultural manufacturing grew stronger.

Since then we have continued to refine our design process starting with us listening to farmers. We also listen to our team and celebrate creativity to solve on-farm challenges. Our designs are smart, practical and reliable.
Our team pride themselves at having painstaking diligence and we are continuously looking to push the boundaries and challenge the status quo.

We develop bespoke solutions to address specific issues that might be related to the land or environment - a challenge our engineers love! It keeps the job interesting and our products are ever-evolving.

Commitment to details is what makes Giltrap Ag equipment superior and ensures a high level of quality in everything we do.

Putting in the hard graft is worth it when we see farmers getting ahead.
We have a culture of internal promotion and the majority of our management team have been internally promoted.

We also have a culture that celebrates long serving employees with 12 in our team who have been with us for 20+ years. This experience hugely benefits our business, staff and customers. They have farmer relationships that have been forged over many years and have an intrinsic understanding of their challenges and needs.

Many of our roles require some experience, then we provide additional ongoing training and development. Knowledge sharing and continuous growth is important for our forward-thinking ethos.
